1. Create Items in the Inventory

You and your partner can create Chore Items in the Inventory for tasks you regularly do at home.

For tasks you frequently handle, move them to the Quick Add Bar so you can easily add them to the Ledger or Planner.

You can also group items in the Quick Add Bar into categories (e.g., Kitchen, Bathroom, etc.) to make logging even easier and more convenient.

<aside> 💡 What is a Chore Item? A housework item is the basic unit used for logging and planning in the ledger. It consists of icon or photo, task name and average required time. Once you create an item in the Inventory, you can quickly load its information whenever you add it to the Ledger or Planner. It’s especially useful for recurring tasks like dishes, cleaning, or cooking.

2. Add Items to the Housework Ledger and earn Chore Points

Adding an item from the Quick Add Bar to the Housework Ledger is simple. Drag and drop the item onto the ledger, or tap the item and press the Tap to Add button that appears.

When you add an item to the ledger, you earn points equal to the required time included in that item. One point equals one minute of work time.

For example, if you and your partner agreed that doing the dishes takes 40 minutes, adding the “dishes” item once will create 40 points.

At the bottom of the Housework Ledger, you’ll see “Daily” and “Total” sections. These numbers represent the difference in Balance Points between you and your partner, displayed in the color of the person who currently has more points.

“Daily” shows the point difference for that day. “Total” shows the accumulated difference since you started using the ledger together.

For example, if you earned 10 points and your partner earned 20, the difference is 10 points. If your partner’s personal color is purple, it will appear as “10p” in purple.
